Self-Publishing School Author Webinar

Self-Publishing School, I have written about you before, now I will write more. In one of my previous posts, I talked about why I think author webinars are a complete waste of time. The hosts of these webinars all promise how they will teach you how to write the next million-dollar bestseller or how to become the next J.K. Rowling. But all they do is jabber, jabber, and jabber, then they try to sell you their expensive products at the end of every webinar. As a soon-to-be-published author, I know how overwhelming it can be to find your way in the vast world of self-publishing. It is a very dynamic world; you need to keep up-to-date and… it can be overwhelming. Plus, writing some genres is not as easy as I thought.

Especially for someone like me. What do I mean? I do not have any ‘formal training’ when it concerns writing. Okay, not all writers went to university and have a degree in literature or the English language. But it is an even bigger challenge for me because English is not my first language.

So… I said I would never take another author webinar again, but I think I will take this one the Self-Publishing School is offering.

Yes, yes, I know. I am flip-flopping. But you see, I want to know if it will be different this time. Chandler Bolt, the founder of Self-Publishing School, sent an e-mail inviting me to a webinar he will host this Wednesday, April 29. I know you are reading this in May; it is because I write my posts beforehand and schedule them.

So, here I am, minding my business & checking my e-mails… and THERE IT IS! Another e-mail of an author who claims to have made millions from self-publishing, offering a free webinar to teach you how to do the same. Oh, just click on the photos to enlarge them.

I know that I need to Activate Windows, I will do that later today.

But like I wrote in the previous post: Does he not promise A LOT? Will this free webinar differ from his previous ones? You know, the ones where he talked and talked for the first thirty minutes about how he was in debt, quit business school because people without businesses were teaching him to run a business. Then we went snowboarding somewhere. He likes to put up that picture and then mention how he is receiving passive income on Amazon from an e-book he had written.

Kudos, kudos, kudos, proud of you, Chandler. Now get to the fucking point!

I clicked on the link in the mail and registered for his free webinar.

Is the content of his e-mail not clickbait? So clickbait-ish! Now, check out how he is promoting this webinar. Even more clickbait-ish.

It all seems promising, does it not? Are you also curious to find out if he will deliver? Let me tell you, I sure am ready for that webinar.

I will let you know in a different post if he really kept his promises… or if he told us to buy a course where he teaches us to do that at the end of his training.

I am grateful & blessed to have the life I live. (Soon to be) Traditionally published & self-published author in her mid-thirties. I unsuccessfully tried changing this picture numerous times, so I just left it. I wish you lots of love & may you get what you need. <3
