About Me

Who am I?

That is a question I ask myself on a regular basis. For a long time, I didn’t quite know how to answer this question. My opinion of myself depended on who I was talking to at that moment. Fast forward a few years, who am I now?

I’m a woman who knows what she does and doesn’t want and I’m also a work in progress.

For the past three years, I’ve been living in China. I was bored with my life (and some other personal stuff) and I just wanted to start fresh someplace else. The anonymity that comes with living in a big country like China is such a relief! No one knows you, and guess what? As long as you’re not doing anything illegal, no one really gives two shits about you or your activities.

At my birthday dinner in 2017. With two friends of mine: Fah (from Thailand) and Mohamed (from Sudan)

Moving here was the best decision of my life! I’ve gotten reacquainted with myself, mended some important personal relationships, and I’ve made some great friends!

Two of my hobbies are journaling and learning foreign languages. The journals started out as a form of therapy, but now I use them to document my life. I think it will be something great to leave my children (as soon as I have a few). I speak six languages, I understand seven, but I am fluent in four. Challenging myself is part of my daily routine. Part of that challenge is working with two Cultural Anthropologists. It’s more of an adventure. I’m thankful they allow me to join them on their journeys because they have taught me so much. I look forward to those experiences every single time I go back home.

I love tea, not a coffee drinker at all.

Through experiencing the things that I don’t want, I now know what I DO WANT in life and from the people I surround myself with. I know what I am prepared and able to give, and I don’t ask more than that of others. What I want right now, is to live my life freely, peacefully… drama FREE!

Unfortunately, there’s only so much I can tell you about myself. If you want to know more, you will have to read my blogs.

One last thing I can tell you about myself is that I am a firm believer in change… but you have to willing to make that change. No matter what stage you are at in life, there is always room for growth. Experience teaches me daily that no matter what one believes of oneself, one can always change. Choice is the beauty of each sunrise, so choose to make your life beautiful.

Much love to you all!
